Personal favorite key art examples I’ve designed to promote theatre and dance productions at Binghamton University. Materials include posters, promotional images for social media, and display graphics. These productions are mostly faculty-directed or choreographed work, performed by students of Binghamton University.
Assisted Art Director, Laura Fine Hawkes, on environmental design for capital campaign launch event at Binghamton University. Art Director developed design options for Binghamton University Foundation Board and Production Company, BSI, to choose from. Designs selected required content creation for production of printed environmental pieces. Designing the print-ready files was my task in this project. Pictured here are photos from the event as well as mock-ups presented by the Art Director.
Promotional materials for various public and private events as well as materials for attendees. Events such as Broome Arts Trail, LUMA and Kilt’d 5K are collaborative projects with the event organizers and artists.
I have previously served on the Board of Directors and various committees for the Broome County Arts Council and now am delighted to be working with them on programs such as First Friday and the Broome Art Trail. This organization provides operating support and project grants to artists and arts organization across Broome County among many other things. Just love being able to be a part of it all.
In this collection are images from my graduate work at Marywood University. Included are the following projects: Thesis Exhibition, a site-specific installation that tells the story of Johnny Hycutt, a fictional character based on my grandfather’s childhood during the great depression in upstate New York; Study Tour Books; Branding for Get Your Masters With The Masters MFA Program; Conceptual Illustration spotlighting questionable practices around underground storage for fuel and waste in the Finger Lakes Region
TriCities Opera is a cultural institution established in 1949 in Binghamton, NY. The examples on this page are key art developed for the depicted program. Staff from TCO were given assets from this key art to work with for additional promotional needs on social and print.
A custom framing and quirky gift shop that is a treasure to the Binghamton community. They sought me out when it was time for a new look. We worked on a concept that kept the traditional, clean look that encompasses the framing business while inviting the curious in for a look at their amazing curation of gifts and wall of witty greeting cards. The project began with a logo used on business forms, labels, packaging, signage and promotional design. The shop owner insisted on using friendly ‘shop dogs’ to be featured in their sales postcards, placed precariously in a piece of non-copyrighted artwork.
Beginning with a few blank surfaces owned by the City of Binghamton, I collaborated with Emily Jablon of Jablon studios in helping to design mock-ups for mosaics murals for the community to enjoy. My daughter and I helped with the installation of one of the first projects, which to this day is the place to go and get your wedding photos or senior portraits taken. I’m honored to have been a part of a few select projects with Jablon Studios and looking forward to more!
